Professor Stuart Burgess from the department of Mechanical Engineering has been awarded a Visiting Fellowship at Clare Hall College, Cambridge University during 2021. His research will focus on the modelling of biological systems and bio-inspired design. One case study will involve modelling linkage mechanisms in animal joints with applications for robotics. The Fellowship is half-time and will involve spending half of each week in Cambridge.
