On Jan 9th I gave a seminar to Babcock International Group’s Innovation Forum on Digital Twins. In the talk I covered a brief history of the digital twin (courtesy of NASA) and the current and emerging applications of twins including production, product and performance-based twins of machines, systems and infrastructure. I also covered our latest work on non-identical twins and twinning in support of prototyping. In the talk I also discussed the need to consider cost-benefit, timescale and the opportunity to ‘do things differently’ regarding new business models and services. If you would like more info please get in touch.
